Amy Lupton

MEd, FNTP, BCHN

Her love affair with all things natural began when her dad handed her his old camera as she entered high school. She started photographing herbs and flowers (mostly because they stayed still for portraits) and in the process, she fell in love with their quiet beauty & medicine.

Life kept drawing her deeper into that world. She married a botanist and permaculturist, and together they cultivated not just gardens, but a way of life rooted in natural living and reverence for the land. When their daughter was born and diagnosed with multiple food allergies, her focus shifted from soil to sustenance, and reading food labels opened her eyes to a startling truth: much of what we call “food” isn’t truly food at all.

That experience ignited her lifelong passion for holistic nutrition and the healing power of natural living. Since 2014, she has been working in the nutrition world, supporting private clients and collaborating in clinical settings to address everything from energy and hormones to digestion and skin health through a food‑first, root‑cause lens. Earning her Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition deepened that work, grounding her intuitive approach in rigorous training and giving her a strong clinical framework to draw from.

It also inspired the creation of Liferoot Botanicals, which she has lovingly owned and operated since 2013. Through her apothecary, she crafts herbal remedies and wellness essentials from a place of deep respect for nature’s wisdom, weaving together science, spirit, and nourishment to support whole‑body wellness. She specializes in natural botanical and herbal care with a particular focus on skin health—understanding that radiant skin is inseparable from gut, liver, nervous system, and emotional balance.

Over time, she came to recognize that true health begins with love—loving the body back into balance, feeding it with living nourishment, and caring for it as the sacred vessel it is. It is her joy to help others reconnect with that same sense of vibrancy and wholeness through nutrition, herbs, and everyday rituals of self‑tending. When she’s not blending teas or formulating in the apothecary, you can often find her in the garden, on a walk in the Texas sun, or curled up with a stack of books and a mug of something warm and herbal.

Education & Experience: M.Ed.; Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition; Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner; Certified Holistic Health Coach; Clinical Herbalist; Bach Flower Remedies; Clinical Aromatherapy—and an ever‑curious heart devoted to exploring the magnificent universe God has given us.

janel Austin

office manager

janel is the gentle rhythm behind the scenes, the one keeping things flowing, grounded, and just a little bit magical. With over two decades as a dental assistant, she brings a deep-rooted love for patient care, paired with a natural ease that helps people feel instantly at home.

She believes scheduling shouldn’t feel stressful (or robotic), so she approaches it like a conversation—finding what works for real life, real bodies, and real humans. Around here, she’s known for her warm energy, her thoughtful touches, and her ability to make even the smallest interactions feel meaningful.

Outside the clinic, janel lives in a world of creativity and movement—exploring acro yoga, painting, and designing her playful juBee characters (tiny little expressions of joy and emotion). You’ll usually find her with her sweet sidekick, Princess T, soaking up live music, good food, and those quiet, in-between moments that make everything feel a little softer.

She’s here to help you feel comfortable, cared for, and maybe even leave with a little extra lightness than you came in with.

Princess T

Clinic Companion

Princess T is our resident greeter, comfort specialist, and quiet little soul with the softest presence. She takes her role seriously—making gentle rounds, checking in on patients, and offering calm companionship without ever asking for attention.

You’ll often find her cozied up nearby, observing with her wise little eyes or happily accepting a soft hello. She has a special way of making people feel at ease, like everything is just a little bit okay.

When she’s not “working,” Princess T enjoys morning brush time, peaceful naps, and simply being near her favorite humans.

She’s a quiet part of the clinic, but one that many people end up remembering the most. 🐾
